I know I hardly ever update, and I'm only around LJ when I WANT something, but bear with me for a moment, won't you?

I don't talk about family on here a lot, but I'm very very VERY proud of my one and only baby brother, who is, among other things (such as gifted with an acerbic wit much like my own), an AMAZING guitarist. His band, Down From Up, has an album available on iTunes, and this fall they're headed to Afghanistan to play in a USO tour for the troops. And probably smoke a LOT of weed while they're at it.

Aaaanyway... thirdly... spent most of xmas flu-ey and sick and horrible, along with the rest of the fam, so the holiday was pretty much a bust. on the brightest notes of the season, nina_nicky sent me an mp3 player, and i'm in love with her like STUPID. delfeather was kind enough to surprise me with some virtual mistletoe, which brought a smile to my otherwise constantly pissed-off face.

i have to go pick her up at school today in about an hour, due to the fact that she can't lug the BIG ASS FLAT SCREEN TELEVISION SHE WON on the bus with her.
